Did you know your refrigerator can be used as a cure? That’s right! Powered cures very often use electrical objects with motors and generators. The energy generated by these electrical objects or appliances can be used to activate certain areas in your home or office. Powered cures are usually only used to generate energy or create activity in a specific life area of the Bagua.
You can also use decorative firecrackers (like the ones in the above image) as a powered cure. If place symbolically over the inside of the front door, firecrackers can help protect the home and its occupants. You can also use them in different areas of the home to activate new sources of income, enhance your occupation or even attract more business connections.

The sense of smell is the one of the most powerful senses; it directly stimulates the limbic system and quite often triggers the memories of the past. Pleasant odors usually go hand in hand with good feelings, higher states of well-being and increased awareness.
You can use flowers, essential scented oils and incense for this cure. When using the incense as a cure, it is strongly recommended to purchase high quality incense rather then the cheap ones that include synthetic oils and perfumes. Synthetic incense is much less enjoyable and can irritate those with sensitive senses and is much less effective. Do it right the first time and spend a few extra bucks for a batch of high quality incense.
When using oils for cures, it is very important to use quality oils, more so then incense. Fragrant oils can improve your health and mood in your surroundings. Remember, you get what you pay for!

The Bagua is always set up in relation with your front door of your home or office, never to a side door or back door. Each house only has one front door in which is called the “Mouth of Chi”. The Mouth of Chi is where the main flow of Chi enters your home or office.
To determine the line of your front door, draw a straight line on your floor plan or blueprint running from the left to right, directly through the plane of the front door. There are 2 important reasons to line it up with the front door: First, the line helps you to place and orient the Bagua. Second, it tells you which part of your house is energetically in the front of the front door.
You must also determine if your front door is in the middle, right or left of the front wall. A door in the middle of the front wall is the career area. A door on the right side of the front wall of the house is the Helpful People area of the Bagua. A door on the left side of the front wall is in the Knowledge area. In the practice of Feng Shui, only these areas of the Bagua can contain the front door.
Please keep note that the Bagua is applicable to any space that has a clear front door. The Bagua can be placed on multiple spaces of your home including the rooms in your home or office. Doing this can give you an increasingly amount of more detailed understanding of Feng Shui in each environment. The Bagua readings are usually centered on the house itself but can also be placed in main environments such as your backyard or home office.
